§ 5-1. Fire district or fire limits.

  • The fire district or fire limits of the town shall be composed of that area described as follows:

    Beginning at the intersection of Johnston Street and Front Street and thence along Front Street, in a northeasterly direction, to a point approximately one hundred sixty-one (161) feet south of the intersection of Front and Bridge Street, thence in a southeasterly direction two hundred twenty-one and sixty-one hundredths (221.61) feet to a southeast property corner of a tract owned by James W. Narron, thence in a northeasterly direction approximately one hundred sixty-one (161) feet to the intersection of Bridge Street; thence along Bridge Street, in a southeasterly direction, to a point one hundred and six (106) feet west of Fifth Street; thence, in a southwesterly direction, along a line parallel to Fifth Street, to a point on the south side of Market Street one hundred and six (106) feet west of Fifth Street; thence, in a southeasterly direction, along the south side of Market Street, approximately two hundred and six (206) feet to the Big Ditch; thence, in a southwesterly direction, with and along the Big Ditch to Johnston Street; thence, in a northwesterly direction along Johnston Street to the intersection of Johnston Street with South Fourth Street; thence, in a northeasterly direction, along South Fourth Street to the intersection of South Fourth Street with Johnston Street; thence, in a northeasterly direction, along Johnston Street to the intersection of Johnston Street with Front Street, the point of beginning.
